Emergency 12 inch burst main repair on Lower High Street, Watford. Rick and Anthony worked through Friday night into Sunday to complete the repair, backfill, reinstate, and fully reopen the road by midday Sunday.

Leaks on dual 9” mains on the bridge crossing the M4. Both mains slip lined with 180mm PE, pressure tested and chlorinated and put back into service within one week.

Yes. McFadden Utilities is a WIRS-accredited self-lay provider, meaning we can design, install, test, and commission new water mains that are adopted by the water company on completion.
Yes. We maintain standby crews for emergency water mains repair, burst mains, and leak response around the clock, seven days a week.
A self-lay provider (SLP) is a company accredited to install new water mains and services on behalf of a developer, as an alternative to the local water company doing the work. It’s often faster and more cost-effective.
Yes. As well as being a WIRS-accredited self-lay water provider, we deliver ICP (Independent Connection Provider) civils for new electricity connections, including trenching, ducting, and chamber construction.
Yes. We’ve delivered projects for Affinity Water, Thames Water, and the Anglian Water Network, carrying out repair, maintenance, and network expansion programmes.
Interim reinstatement is a temporary surface repair (usually cold-lay tarmac) applied immediately after utility works. Permanent reinstatement is the final surface restoration to NRSWA specification, typically completed within six months.
Yes. Through T. McFadden Plant we hire grab lorries (TfL DVS compliant), mini diggers, and small plant across London and Hertfordshire.
